SUMMER COOLERS

  1. AULI, a hill station in HP, is 80 kms from Nainital. It is accessible by road or ropeway from Joshimath and offers spectacular views of mountains such as Dunagiri, kamet and Nandadevi. It is 10-12 hrs by road from Delhi. There is only one hotel called the clifftop. Visitors stay at the base station. It is popular as a winter sports and skiing spot.
  2. PANCHGANI : 98 kms from Pune. A 18 km long road that loops and curves around the green roads leads to Panchgani. The place is known for its old colonial charm, lush greenery, educational institutions, and colonial and parsi architecture.
  3. COORG :Madikeri, the district headquarters of Kodagu or Coorg, is located about 252 kms from Bangalore , up in the hills and about 1525 metres above sea level. It is popularly known as Scotland of India. Misty hills, lush green forests, acres of tea and coffee plantations, orange groves, houseboats and breathtaking views.
  4. PANCHMARHI : It is a beautiful hill resort in MP. The Mahadeo hills offer hidden treasures and are believed to be about 10000 years old.
